Knock Out

Knock Out

Old Jeep near the Wind Rivers, WY.
I did a bit of Photoshop work to bring out the personality of the car but a lot of the quality came from the 15 year old Kodak slide film I was using. I had no idea if the roll would turn out, the camera has a sticky shutter and the battery was too large for camera (they don’t make the same battery anymore) hence the light meter was off. I love unpredictable analog 😉

This is a great shot and the process on it is perfect. There are a whole bunch of old beat up vehicles on one of the drives that I take home from work. One of these days when there is enough daylight left I'm going to stop and trespass.

Against those odds, you pull off a shot like this! Amazing. Looks like an old Jeep Wrangler. The demise of the metalwork is beautifully captured, a frame filled with character and textural delight. Superb work

Amazing that you could get this so vivid and clear for something that was 15 years old. Don't you love it when things come together such as this. I love the image.

The image turned out to be a genuine winner! I love the rusty look and distinctive pattern of the jeep grill. Nice one.

Very cool shot. I love the tones that you have going.
I have several rolls of 40 year old Kodachrome II. I shot one roll only to find out that no-one processes it any more. It sits on the shelf with my antique cameras and light meters.
