A B&W version of the VLA, taken in exactly the same place as the previous radio observatory photograph but with a film camera on Ilford 100 B&W film. Thought it might be an interesting comparison, both the digital and film have their plus points, yet they are so different.

I love this one! Great composition and the grain really makes it here for me. Smashing in b&w! I prefer the film version!
I like the BW version better. I can fell the approaching storm.
It's just stunning!
Very cool, its an amazing place isn't it?
A great picture of awesome technology. Never cease to amaze me! Nice b/w!
i do hope they dont need this to tell there's a storm coming! excellent work!
I like this in b/w nearly as much as I did in color. This brings out the great structure of the sky better, though. Good work!
great compo! love it!
I like the grainy effect and the foreground detail, very nice!
Beautiful picture! Lovely tonal gradation. BW film photography is romantic, whereas digital bw is mundane pragmatic.
I like this feeling of loneliness…Humm, a little bit too much grainy for me, especially for the cloud up the mountain, on the left. Thanks for your comments this last days, and feel free to criticize too.
Nice work here man! I like the overall look and comp to this one. Very good grain in this one also. Sets a mood for sure!
Great black and white image of this radio telescope!
